HENLEY LABOUR PARTY BLOG

Al this chat about housing and transport as if they were separate items is nonsense. They are inseparable in most cases. Take Watlington for example. In a large secondary school, there are teachers who can't find anywhere to live in the immediate area which is affordable, so they have to commute from the Oxford area. They'll be lucky to get anywhere suitable anyway. All the villages have clammed up and the parish ciouncils say " There is no demand in this area". What nonense- and the structure pan doesn't help. So thay have to use their own cars, as public transport doesn't seem to include Watlington in the Oxford timetable. Look at that as well.
Come on parish councils. You have plenty of space and it's not difficult to find the need.
